Where do you connect with most?
Place Attachment
One of the main goals of this survey was to understand how Gloucester residents connect with the community. One way to study this is through "Place Attachment": the physical, emotional, and cultural connection a person has with a location.
What are Gloucester's biggest environmental threats?
Risk Assessment
We wanted to understand how Gloucester residents view environmental risks. Environmental risk assessments can include the types of risks people feel threatened by, who they think risks will affect and how prepared they feel to face those risks.
Climate Change
Overall, Gloucester ranked higher than the national average for climate change acceptance, personal impact, and community impact. Often, there is resistance to accepting the personal affects of climate change. This strong acceptance of the risks of climate change indicates that citizens are ready to be engaged in resilience planning and protecting our community!
